This web project aims to provide a space to publish creative writings by heritage speakers of Spanish living in San Diego and surrounding areas.
About Me
Dr. Rosalva Alamillo teaches linguistics and Spanish as a heritage language courses in the B.A. and M.A. Spanish programs at the Department of Spanish and Portuguese Languages and Literatures at San Diego State University. Her research focuses on heritage language acquisition, the relationship between language and society, and linguistic outcomes of language contact. Dr. Alamillo has presented her research at national and international academic conferences. Her publications have appeared at Estudios de Lingüística Aplicada, American Periodicals: A Journal of History & Criticism, Íkala: Revista de Lengua y Cultura, and Glosas. Revista de la Academia Norteamericana de la Lengua Española. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, gardening and reading.
